Best Brunch in Santa Monica
Milo & Olive
This neighborhood bakery and pizzeria has a breakfast menu that is always evolving. Executive Chef Erin Eastland comes up with seasonal plates for breakfast/brunch, which are served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Some menu items include creamy polenta and poached eggs with braised bacon and baby greens, chimichurri potatoes and, one of the house favorites, the breakfast pizza, which has house made sausage, pickled chili, a farm egg, potatoes and rosemary cream.
Herringbone
Herringbone serves brunch every weekend in Santa Monica from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can expect ocean to table flavors here with a salt & brine bar and brunch specialties, such as the Whole Fish Ceviche, Lobster Scramble or Crab Cake Benny, which is made with Maryland crab, tomato, avocado, sriracha hollandaise. You can pair your plate with bottomless mimosas, too! What’s not to love?
Huckleberry Bakery & Cafe
This bakery/cafe is dedicated to offering organic and GMO free products to its customers. It sources dairy, eggs, poultry, beef, pork, vegetables, and grains from local growers and artisan producers they know and trust. Some signature dishes are Zoe’s maple bacon biscuits, organic quinoa with market veggies and eggs, huevos rancheros and a fried egg sandwich that is to die for. You can also enjoy a coffee bar, fresh squeezed orange juice and mimosas. Best of all, all menu items are served all day!
Brick + Mortar
Brick + Mortar serves brunch every weekend from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The atmosphere is upbeat with a DJ supplying some morning tunes along with a Bloody Mary bar and scrumptious dishes, such as the chicken and waffles with maple syrup and orange marmalade butter. Other dining options include sharing a cheese board with a friend while sipping on bottomless mimosas or chowing down on an All American Breakfast. This place has plenty of options and brunch runs late so it’s a great option for a weekend when you are taking Sunday Funday seriously.
Hinterland
Hinterland is a brunch lover’s paradise with a cozy atmosphere and plenty of menu options. Choose from the Bourbon Caramel French Toast with candied walnuts, powdered sugar, fresh fruit and whipped cream or the chorizo skillet with potatoes, eggs, avocado, bacon, pecorino and sour cream while you sip a steaming cup of joe or a refreshing mimosa.
Farmshop
Farmshop is an artisanal restaurant, bakery and market with the most wonderful brunch menu. There is a nice selection of cocktails to choose from and menu items are fresh and unique. One signature dish is the Angry Blue Hill Bay Smoked Trout Omelet, which is made with soft herbs, calabrian chili pesto, avocado-pickled cucumber salad, pumpkin seeds & toasted butter croissant.
