Hamm’s New Modern Minimalist Home
Hamm (star of “Mad Men”) recently bought the home at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a neighborhood celebrities seem to flock to for just over $3 million and I can honestly say, modern minimalist style never looked so stunning. The design of this home will leave you feeling like you’ve stepped into some kind of futuristic, Utopian world or, at the very, least the latest issue of Kinsfolk.

In addition to the amazing aesthetic vibes this place cooks up, it’s quite functional. Downstairs, the house has a spacious foyer, an intimate sitting room with an adjoining study, which features a nifty three-sided fireplace, a family room and a dining area. Then there’s the kitchen – walk in pantry, white marble, oak cabinets – need I say more? Four bedrooms (including a master suite), all complete with in-suite bathrooms, are found on the house’s upper level.
The back yard backs up to a hill and can host quite a barbecue. A 28-foot saltwater swimming pool is the focus of the area, but there is plenty of redwood decking complete with a grilling station and a dining area.
All in all, it seems like John Hamm got an excellent deal on his serene 3,600 square feet. Rugged, yet elegant organic materials and a spacious, minimalist design makes this casa one of my favorites I’ve seen this year!
